Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

The Wickliffe PTO is proud to partner with the district’s Equity Advisory Board to do the work to ensure that every student has a safe place to learn, grow, and thrive without fear of prejudice or bias. Learn more about how the district is committed to diversity, equity and inclusion here.

 

Committee Updates:

The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion committee has a lot of fun and educational opportunities coming up:

  • Monthly meetings are on the third Tuesday of each month, 5:30-6:30 p.m. in the Makerspace (remaining meetings this school year are March 19 and April 16.

  • Join us at Wolves Around the World Friday, March 15, 6-8 p.m., to celebrate the diversity in our Wickliffe community. Click here to volunteer!   

  • Belonging Book Club will read Just Roll with It, a middle elementary graphic novel, in April then meet for a year-end gathering and discussion at Fancyburg; more details to come.

  • On May 11, all are invited to a celebration at Thompson Park from noon-2 p.m. to discuss the book Just Roll With It, a middle-grade graphic novel that focuses on themes of mental wellness and belonging, with the creators Veronica Agarwal and Lee Durfey-Lavoie.
