What to watch for this week:
Wickliffe Social Thank You

It was great seeing so many of you at the first annual Wickliffe Social event Saturday night. The night was a huge success and over $9,000 was raised to support our many PTO programs, events, and initiatives.

A big thank you to the Wickliffe Social Committee Chairs, Corrinn Ekker, Marci Shumaker and Carli Ames, as well as the committee members, Lindsey Peters, Chi Nguyen, Marta Ackley, Michelle Rafeld, Annie Maclean, Tobin and Lisa Juday. They put in a ton of work to make the night so fun and impactful. We also appreciate everyone that purchased tickets, bid on auction items, volunteered with set up, event stations and clean up. The pack was back that night and looking forward to next year's event.

Heart to Heart Holiday Gift Drive
As we head into the Holiday Season please consider supporting the holiday gift drive for the Children of Heart to Heart Food Pantry. This drive is organized by Mrs. Miller and Mrs. Oberlin's 4/5 classrooms. There are still many children that need gifts. Here is the Holiday Gift Drive Sign Up

Have a wonderful and hopefully relaxing Thanksgiving,

We are collecting gifts for 28 families to help them have a happier holiday season. Here is the link to sign up! Holiday Gift Drive.  Holiday Gift Drive Sign-Up

Guess who's back? Coffee Cart is back!

Cooler weather calls for hot coffee, tea, and treats for our dedicated Wickliffe staff. One of the core offerings of the Staff Appreciation Committee is the Coffee Cart. We make coffee and tea, gather treats and snacks, and then travel throughout the school to share with all staff. It’s a small but important way to show our educators our immense appreciation for all they do (and help them sneak in a little caffeine!).

The coffee cart is offered on Wednesdays from 7:45 a.m. - 9:15 a.m. and we are in search of volunteers to help with a morning shift (making coffee, stocking the cart, and walking it around to the classrooms). Can’t join us in person? You can also support by making an early morning donut run. Lots of ways to get involved! Contact Marjie.Bland@gmail.com if you’re interested in helping!

Interior design expertise wanted!

Do you have an eye for design? A knack for making spaces more inviting, cozy, or exciting? The Wickliffe PTO Staff Appreciation Committee would like to spruce up the teacher’s lounge, and we could use your help! Thanks to all who have donated supplies and other items, and we’re now well on our way to making this space as special as our amazing Wickliffe staff. We just need that extra support from you! A volunteer with expertise in interior design can support by providing guidance on the placement of items, new items to purchase or request, and other general design best practices you might be willing to share. This is an opportunity to give back to the school using your expertise and on your schedule!

Interested, reaching out to Marjie.Bland@gmail.com for more information.

Heart to Heart Food Pantry

Wickliffe students can bring in nonperishable food items all year long to benefit the Heart to Heart Food Pantry. The pantry is in particular need of peanut butter, jelly, spaghetti sauce, syrup, and canned soup, although any nonperishable items are welcome. Toiletries and diapers are also always helpful. Donation boxes will be located in each neighborhood and at the school entrance. We will deliver donations on a monthly basis. If you have any questions, please contact Amy Miller at ajmiller@uaschools.org or Sarah Oberlin at soberlin@uaschools.org. For more information about Heart to Heart or to volunteer, visit their website.
