What to watch for this week:

What a year! Was it a marathon, a sprint, or both?! I’m not sure but in hindsight, whatever it was, was great! We were able to come back together this year to build community, support our Wickliffe family, and get to know each other again. Thank you all for supporting our PTO by coming to events, donating your time, and supporting our fundraising efforts.

My wish is for everyone to have a fun-filled, relaxing summer so that we can come back together in the fall recharged and ready for a new school year!

School Supplies for 2022/2023 School Year

The Wickliffe PTO is excited to sponsor a pilot program for bulk school supply order for the 2022/2023 school year!

Wickliffe teachers completed school supply lists for the 2022/2023 academic school year and the PTO submitted the supply order for all classrooms. By doing this, we can pass along the benefits of bulk pricing and the convenience of doing the shopping for you! This also ensures that all students start the year with the same supplies.

Starting in July, you will be able to pay your students’ school supply fee of $35 on our PTO website. All supplies will be delivered to your students’ classroom. If you have any questions regarding this pilot, please contact Dawn Hofherr at dawn.kuritz@gmail.com."

Field Day

Thanks to your fundraising contributions throughout the year, the PTO was able to sponsor Field Day once again at Wickliffe! Ms. Richey did an amazing job organizing and managing this event and our students had a BLAST! Thanks again to Ms. Richey, our volunteers, and YOU for your support.

Graduation

Congratulations to all the 2021/2022 5^th grade Wickliffe graduates! It was a beautiful day to celebrate these students as they move on to middle school. Thank you to all the volunteers who made the day and the weeks leading up to this big day possible. We hope to see these wolves back at our community events next year!

Lost & Found

We have accumulated so many lost items! All items will be donated THIS FRIDAY, JUNE 3^rd! Please stop by the school before Friday if you would like to find any lost items!

How can you support the PTO over the summer?

Castle Playground Update: From Mrs. Evans

Our Castle Playground holds many memories for some of you as parents, just as it does for our students and staff; however, we recognize that it needs some improvement. It is over 30 years old and is starting to show its age. This coming summer I will be working to find a company to help us look at our outdoor play space and begin helping us design what this space could be!

Wickliffe gardens need summer helpers!

Hi all! Our students have been working hard to get our new raised garden beds planted with veggies and native pollinator plants. As the school year wraps up, we will need help maintaining the gardens over the summer. We are asking for families to volunteer to water and weed the garden one week each over the summer months. Pick a week on the Sign-Up Genius below - more details will be sent once you have volunteered for a slot. Thanks!

Mabel's Labels

Help kids keep track of their stuff while also preventing the overflow of the lost & found! Labeling easily lost items like coats and sweatshirts is easy with Mabel's Labels!. The PTO has partnered with Mabel's Labels to help all lost items find their way back home with the extra benefit of raising money for the Wickliffe PTO!

Visit https://mabelslabels.com/en_US/, go to Menu, then Support a Fundraiser. From there, you'll type in Wickliffe. Then begin shopping! Every order gets the PTO a percentage of the price. This fundraiser is available from now until Halloween.

So as I write my last PTO Newsletter, please accept these lyrics as a thank you for the last incredible 19 years. Because I knew each of you and your amazing children, I have been changed for good.
